A FEW PHOTOS OF MY TRIP TO

| Above left is the gorgeous view of the Cote d'Azur, in particular the beach at Nice. Notice the Cote d'Azur blue! Above right we are on the way through the Verdon Gorge to the Provence region where they grow lots of lavender used for perfume making. There's my friend Andrew with the rental car. Notice up ahead on the road that the rocks overhang the road.
Below left I climbed a trail that overlooks the Verdon gorge looking down to the river but we were quite close to the edge so I 'hankered down' for security as I don't like heights. Below center is the view from the road above Lake St. Croix. We later hired a canoe for an hour and paddled into part of the gorge. The next two photos are from the river that flows through the gorge floor. Notice the waterfall behind Andrew. The last photo below right is from Grasse, leaving Nice about 20 miles away. Grasse is known for its perfumeries but frankly I only got as far as a few clothing shops and bought several very nice and inexpensive outfits. |

| Above I am seated in a cafe in the village Moustiers-Ste-Marie near to the Lake. It was very warm inside and outside. Andrew kindly agreed to take my photo from across the road. On the right is me wading into the Mediterranean Sea off the beach at Eze which is east of Nice. Around that mountain in the background can be found the principality of Monaco. Below are two photos taken in Monaco overlooking the harbor. The large grandstands are for the Grand Prix car race to be held on May 29. We were there on May 19. Monaco is very clean and attractive. | ||||||||||||||
